So I’ve been playing Beanfun’s Lucent Heart for North America lately, it’s really really fun! I’m enjoying the soulmate system (holy shit the emotes are adorable), the gameplay is solid and the characters are friggin’ CUTE. The entire game gave me diabetus the first time I tried it and I am a solid fan and player now. Cannot wait for the item mall to come tonight. B) But yeah, for Fourth of July, they handed out red framed glasses and have had multiple ‘firework giveaway’ events beforehand, where they handed out fireworks to prepare for the actual Fourth.
They had everyone line up on this big bridge in the main town and had everyone set off their fireworks all at once. Some players who didn’t have fireworks spammed AoE spells, and it looked just as awesome haha. The entire thing was a lot of fun, the GMs are all really nice and supportive, who always have someone from the staff online in case someone needs help, and they actually seem to be banning BRs when they ignore the warning ‘English only in horoscope and zone chat, please.’ cause i haven’t seen any Portuguese in a while now. Any Brazilians I HAVE seen are politely trying to speak English. :’D

Anyhow, I really recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a cute MMO where you can hook up with your sweetheart.

Story + Worried

So I have been working on a story, recently. I’ve never been this inspired to write something like this before. So many ideas flowed into my head, but I’m really excited to get it all on paper. The story will be called “51″, it’ll be about a boy who was drafted into the royal army (medieval cloak and dagger) as a scout, and there are 50 of them fighting a war that feels like a lost cause, they’re all struggling to keep the opposing forces back, when they recruit one more scout, number 51. After he arrives, everything changes. I won’t say more than that and just let you read a chapter of the story if you’re interested, but I feel like it’s actually a really interesting story. I don’t think I’ve had confidence in anything like this before.

In other news, a friend of mine, I have recently found out has lung cancer due to being a smoker. I was shocked and honestly too stunned to really know how to react, all I can do is worry for him since he’s leaving twitter, deleting his facebook, and essentially abandoning his internet life to get his real life on track. (I think that’s why)
But no matter what his reasons, I trust they’re worthy ones.

I was intending to write a new post sometime within the 2 – 3 weeks my internet has been out, so this will come a bit late.
I was going to have trouble finding what to blog about, but I guess the disaster in Japan needs to be spoken of first.

My heart goes out to the families and people of Japan who died or have been negatively affected by this tragedy. A tsunami caused by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake, thousands of bodies found dead, one of their nuclear… facilities? Melted down and many people have been heavily exposed to radiation.

I was told this is one of the biggest earthquakes in history, and it just so happened to be right next to a continent. Please pray for Japan, donate if you can because they definitely need it. You can donate in american dollars to yen to the Japanese red cross here.

All I can do unfortunately is feel terrible for what’s happened and even worse that I can’t donate any money or I would in the blink of an eye. Do what you can, I’m sure they’d appreciate it.

I know it’s not that great, but I hope I did well. I really like mer-people and Cassiopeia’s ‘Siren’ skin reminded me of them, so it inspired me, what I was going for with Eradyn was a support caster since the game has plenty of nukers and not enough variety in support. The original concept was a nuker with a lot of disables, but I figured that was more suited towards Leblanc, so I went with support. I really wanted to be creative with his abilities, so here it is.

My forum entry:

“This is his concept, I figured out he’ll be a mer-boy who looks about 16-17 ish with dark brown hair that’s not very long, but goes to about his ear? Maybe shorter hair than Ezreal. He’ll be fairly thin but have an average build. Not muscly, just… Maybe mildly average/thin.

Eradyn
The Water’s Gift

In the depths of the Guardian Sea, beneath Noxus, beneath Ionia, beneath Bilgewater, there is a place. Where people live in the tides and a joyous feeling abounds. Born as a prince to the merpeople, Eradyn was never really noticed by his peers because of his overpowering father and siblings, he was the quiet gentle one, he was also incredibly kind, which people obviously abused, and, feeling too submissive to do anything about it, let himself be walked all over his entire life. Friends he thought he could trust turned on him, abusing the fact that he was a prince.

Throughout all the hardships and tribulations, a part of him wanted to be strong and buck up. Make it so that people wouldn’t walk all over him anymore. The night after he promised himself that he would change, that he would begin to try new things, become a new person, his father, the King, passed away.
This emotionally broke him. He didn’t have the courage to change anymore.

There is a fairy tale, whispered throughout the ages, that the truest sorrowful tears of a merperson would invoke the greatest powers of the sea: A Water Goddess.
And so, she descended upon them, he couldn’t hear or see her approach through his heartfelt sobs.
She reached out and lifted his chin gently, smiling and whispering, “Be strong.”
That single touch unlocked powers held deep within him, normally honed for ages to unleash it’s full potential by the royal family, he could suddenly feel the magic bound in his blood flowing through his veins. Eradyn could call the tides to his bidding. Somehow, this power didn’t scare him as one would think it would. He felt invigorated, like he finally had the strength that no one would step on him again.
Determined to use this power to prove his worth, to prove he could be strong, he was given permission by his mother after this wonderful blessing was placed upon him to go to the surface. Just as the merpeople were fairy tales to your regular citizen of Valoran, the people on the surface were fairy tales to the merpeople. A coliseum of sorts above the waters called the “League of Legends” awaited to test willing hero’s worth.

Upon going to an Ionian beach, he found that air was no different than water. His bodyguards that escorted him felt the gravity of it, but he did not. He could swim through the air as if it were liquid.

A few hours later, he was discovered by the chief of the guard from Ionia, Irelia, who happened to be nearby as he wandered [swam] through a nearby forest. She kindly welcomed him to their land and after he requested to be taken to the League of Legends, she escorted him and he now fights on the fields of justice to prove himself.

Passive: Ideas:
Speed boost to all allied champions when he casts a spell,
Crowd control effects are less effective to all allied champions near Eradyn
Enemies that are near Eradyn for too long are slowed by 30% for 5 seconds, the effect ends if they get out of range.

Q Ability: Rising Tide
Eradyn instantly summons a whirlpool from beneath the enemy, dealing AoE damage.
Idea: If the enemy is in the very center of Rising Tide, they are slowed for 2.5 seconds.

W Ability: Bubbles of Harmony
Eradyn spins in a circle with a stream of water, giving all allies in the area of effect a bubble shield that increases defense for 10 seconds and silencing any enemies in the area of effect for 2.

E Ability: Pool of Rejuvination
Eradyn splashes a pool of water on the ground, healing any allies over time that stand in it and increasing their movement speed by 20% within the area of effect.

R Ability: Maelstrom
After channeling for a moment, Eradyn spins exceedingly fast, rising a current of powerful water from beneath him, damaging enemies over time and dragging them in towards him, any enemies that try to move away will slow the pull, but will still be pulled in regardless. [It doesn't do a LOT of damage, but it's mostly it's vast slow radius that makes it especially evil, but it can be interrupted if he's killed, stunned, or taunted. Binding won't affect him, since he has to hold still while performing Maelstrom]
Idea: When the maelstrom first begins, all allies within the area of effect are instantly relieved of all crowd control effects.

I haven’t really thought about his stats and I figured that feedback could help. Obviously he’ll be a support emphasis caster type, similar to Lux or Janna, so maybe health will be higher than attack, but spellpower will be higher than average?

I’m also absolutely open to suggestions, in fact, I really really support it. I want to make this character as perfect as possible.“

New Auto-Ban Leaver System/Sona Skin/Nell

So I was digging through the Christmas update patch notes, and I see THIS:

Competitive environments, by their nature, tend to get people riled up. While part of that is simply the magic of competition, it carries with it the risk of running into a few sour grapes. We’re acutely aware that not every competitive environment remains friendly, and it only takes one disgruntled player to ruin the game for nine other people.

With this in mind, allow me to introduce the latest renovation to our LeaverBuster technology: Automated Leaver Banning. This system will automatically detect those players who habitually leave games, issuing immediate suspensions to summoners who intentionally disrupt gameplay. These suspensions will be targeted towards those whose behavior is habitual and malicious, not those who experience occasional internet outages or technical issues that cause unintentional disconnects.

This new feature, released today, is the result of our development team’s continued dedication to providing you with the best possible player experience when you play League of Legends. I know this can be easily avoided by cutting your internet connection, but still, this is great. Especially to leavers ignorant enough to not read the in-game notices, they won’t even know what hit ‘em~
I’m just glad they finally installed this. Ragequitters completely ruin games and I hate them on either side of the teams. Just fucking annoying. ~_~
In other news, Sona got a -VERY- pretty skin that I am highly excited about getting. It’s only $5!!!

Okay. So I was thinking about it.
WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY BISHIES IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS?!?!?!?!?
I mean really, what do I have to do? Beg? Get on my knees? Work as a voluntary intern for 5 weeks with 12 hour shifts every single day?
I was thinking about it, and this game is DEFINITELY directed towards [straight] male audiences and it bugs the shit out of me. I mean every single female character that has a big rack are SHOWING IT TO THE FRIGGIN’ WORLD. and we have how many bishies in this game?

Ezreal is the true bishie contender, though. His appearance was compared to Yosuke Hanamura from Persona 4. I can see the similarities.

The last two girls have been pretty as hell, and Leblanc is supposed to be an ancient woman. Where the fuck are the ugly women and the pretty boys??? … I think I had a nightmare.
My best friend got a boyfriend and basically dumped me out of her life…
The only guy I loved wouldn’t accept that I loved him. (He.. looked like Satan o_o;;;; Fire and all. Seriously wtf)
Strangers kept coming to my house in the night, the garage door would open REALLY REALLY fast if I pressed the button on accident, but it’d go down so very slow, even when I was sure the person was somewhere in the driveway. I was so scared and paranoid, I couldn’t sleep(in my dream, at night when I was trying to go to bed.) and I kept shaking because I was so paranoid hands from nowhere were going to get me..
Suffice it to say, I didn’t sleep well last night, and since my paranoia is extreme the parts with people in the driveway really really fuckin’ freaked me out.

EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS ALL TOOK PLACE IN A BL GAME/LEAGUE OF LEGENDS. I think I was playing Leblanc.

Same event as described before, EU players will get scratchies on their account for every euro spent on Galaxy Games [what a ripoff, considering euros are worth much more than american dollars.]

Players who haven’t logged in since before July will get a bunch of goodies, cocoa for 30 days, a cocoa cap box, and 10k pang. European accounts [I have no idea how they'll be able to tell, probably IP] will get 5 Lucky pouches.

Big Red Papel (Increased Clear Bonus to games/+2 Control) and Lucia SSAF added to scratchy.

Doing all 18 courses will get you a Nell coupon, which will get you ‘cute’ items for HER after SHE’S released.

I have a handful of scratchies, if I somehow get Lucia’s SSAF within 10 – 12 scratchies, I’ll grind one nell coupon. For every scratch rare I get, I’ll do one more Nell coupon, but you can probably guess the chances of me getting ONE let alone more than one.

So I got $10 from recycling cans the other day, and since I figured I won’t be able to get anything from black friday with ten bucks, I just spent it on LoL, only to find I get $5 back if I add my bank account and use it during this purchase. Щ(･｀ω´･Щ)　YOSH.

So, I did it. After buying Ezreal with $8 from the initial $10, I realized I had enough IP for Leblanc, so I bought her, then discovered I HAD ENOUGH RP FOR EZREAL’S FROSTED SKIN AND LEBLANC’S PRESTIGIOUS SKIN.
Fuck yes, I love Ezreal’s frosted outfit, blue and white hell yes.

Did I mention Ezreals /dance is the Hare Hare Yukai?

LeBlanc’s prestigious outfit is a sort of ‘magician’ outfit. Definitely my friend Kaitlyn’s style. x) I’ll have to show her. Both frosted and prestigious skins cost about $4 so I barely had enough. 8D

I’ve discovered I play REALLY well with LeBlanc, she seems to be the character I’m best with, but I couldn’t possibly abandon Sona, of course. We’ll just have to see how it goes with both of them. (´・ω・`;)
